An exceptional evening in an exceptional setting
Founded in the 1930s, the Cinéma des Beaux-Arts is a cultural institution unlike any other in Monaco. Its Belle Époque façade, large screen, and timeless atmosphere make it much more than just an ordinary movie theater—it is a living monument, the guardian of nearly a century of the Principality’s cinematic history.
It is against this backdrop that the Golden Shadow International Film Festival (GSIFF) has chosen to set the stage for its inaugural edition. This choice is no accident: it immediately underscores the ambitions of a festival firmly rooted in a tradition of excellence and open to the world.
A blue carpet, exclusive screenings, and film and television personalities from several continents—the opening night provided Monaco with a rare international showcase, living up to the Principality’s reputation on the global cultural scene.

Hosting the GSIFF meant opening the doors of a family-run institution to the entire world. Arthur Tréhet, the third-generation director of Cinémas de Monaco, succeeded in turning this convergence of his heritage and Anita Chui’s vision into something unique and memorable.
Under his leadership, the Cinéma des Beaux-Arts remains true to its mission: to be a vibrant hub for sharing and cinematic discovery in the heart of Monte Carlo. The warm welcome extended to the GSIFF team, filmmakers, and festival guests reflects a deep conviction that cinema is, above all, an art form that brings people together.
Hosting the first edition of the GSIFF at the Cinéma des Beaux-Arts means writing a new chapter in the history of cinema in Monaco together.

Anita Chui & Golden Shadow Entertainment: A Vision Realized

Behind the GSIFF lies a vision—that of Anita Chui, a British-Chinese actress and producer whose career is truly admirable. Trained in the United Kingdom and based in Hong Kong since 2012, she has built a remarkable career spanning more than 20 films in Asia and Europe, before reaching a new milestone by becoming the youngest Chinese producer to co-produce a big-budget independent European film, the Franco-Italian FOLLIA (distributed in more than 10 countries in 2023).
Inspired by this dual cinematic heritage—East and West—Anita Chui founded Golden Shadow Entertainment Ltd and conceived a festival capable of bringing together the two worlds of cinema in a setting befitting this ambition: Monaco.
Our goal for the Golden Shadow International Film Festival is to create an elite creative hub where Asia meets Europe.
— Anita Chui, founder of GSIFF
The first edition demonstrated that this vision is not only realistic but already thriving. The Golden Shadow Entertainment team, working tirelessly in the weeks leading up to the event, put together a program of remarkable quality, selecting works that embody precisely this dialogue between cinematic cultures.
Our sincere thanks
To Anita Chui — for having the audacity to choose Monaco as the setting for your vision, and for the trust you placed in ART VISION Digital Agency throughout this adventure. Your creative energy and high standards have been a constant source of inspiration for our team.
To the team at Golden Shadow Entertainment Ltd — for your professionalism, dedication, and infectious passion. Working together to develop the communications strategy for this inaugural festival was an honor we will never forget.

From drafting press releases to digital strategy, from creating content for social media to publishing articles on the artvision.mc blog, our agency has been involved in every stage of the preparation and execution of this historic event for the Principality.
The first edition of GSIFF is just the beginning. We look forward to supporting future editions of this festival, which we are convinced will establish itself as a lasting fixture in the international cultural landscape.
